The headphone-amp QA is the perfect solution to drive electrostatic headphones like Jecklin FLOAT and STAX.
Although audio transformers can achieve very good quality with the right design, there are now amplifier concepts available that can be used to drive electrostatic headphones directly.
An audio transformer is no longer required. We have found such a circuit for the "headphone-amp QA". The music quality it achieves is hardly comparable with other power supplies. The high voltage music signal is supplied directly by the amplifier modules. Together with the polarisation voltage, the signal voltages cause the transducer foils to vibrate. The music reaches your ears with unrivalled precision and extreme naturalness.
We build the headphone-amp QA for owners of FLOAT QA headphones. Of course, the headphone-amp QA can also drive old and refurbished original FLOAT and even many Stax models.
We have equipped it with its own cascade circuit and provided a plug connection suitable for Stax electrostats.
