Subwoofer QA – The Base

Good subwoofers complement inconspicuously. As with other valuable things you miss them as soon as they get switched off.

In respect of base reproduction Quad electrostatics deliver a perfect quality down to 45 Hz, deep enough for most music material. For all deeper frequencies it is recommended to add our Subwoofer QA. As the electrostatics do, the subwoofer QA works as a dipole . We deliver the sub QA as a set of two (one for each channel), together with an active crossover. In advance of delivery we adjust the crossover depending on what model of ESL you are using. When you set up the sub`s in your living room, the only thing to do is to adjust the volume which you feel is the best to support your electrostatics. This is very easy and only need to be done once within the first set up. You can order your subwoofers in a range of different color versions. The body comes in different colors and the top/bottom plates can be painted or we produce them from solid wood.
